ASSESSMENTS

Assessments are embedded in PAF Reading Program to help teachers provide the appropriate instruction to students. Below is a graphic of the PAF Reading Program Assessment Cycle. The school year begins with Universal Screening in conjunction with PAF Reading Program Entry, which includes baseline and placement assessments. PAF Reading Program’s Progress Monitoring includes daily assessments in addition to periodic assessment through end of book Proficiency Tests. Combined, these inform lesson planning and instructional grouping. A final component of progress monitoring includes administration of the Test of Single Word Reading, offering assessment and data during the BOY, MOY, EOY assessment cycles.
